Nordic Walking – short walks suitable for those with health conditions!
RHL are excited to introduce regular Nordic walking sessions commencing April 2024 for anyone who feels that they can’t walk too far or fast, but who would like to walk with a group!
Nordic walking involves using specially designed walking poles and uses a technique like cross-country skiing. The poles are behind which you push off with each step, engaging your upper body muscles, including your shoulders, arms, and core, making it low impact on the legs, reducing stress on the joints, helping aid with balance and improving stamina. Nordic walking is a full-body, low impact, outdoor and fun workout.
Booking will be for a 3-month block commencing April, for one session per month. Please email classes@rhl.org.uk to book.
Total cost: £15 for three months (three sessions).
Poles will be supplied.
Please wear sensible footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.
