Timetable

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a mat-based class focusing on improving strength, increasing mobility and promoting relaxation. You’ll carry out gentle exercises that will help improve posture, balance and flexibility in a calm, relaxed setting.

We’ll be using Hatha Flow yoga which will bring you calm and strength whilst focusing on your breath. You’ll move mindfully through each movement with some pauses for instruction and teacher demonstration.

If floor work is challenging, consider our Chair Pilates classes. These offer similar benefits but are performed seated or standing with the support of chair. Click here for more information.


What will happen in a Yoga class?

We’ll include a mix of standing and floor-based exercises working in different positions on the mat, effectively targeting a variety of different muscles.

The class will begin with a breathing practice, then travel through a sequence of movements before closing with a relaxing deep rest meditation.

This class is suitable for most levels including beginners, and will offer options and modifications to suit your fitness level and individual needs.

Clothing simply needs to be comfortable and should not restrict your movement i.e gym wear or loose trousers would be ideal – avoid jeans or a skirt. This class is done in socks or bare feet.
